👶 Lead Infant Teacher — Nido Classroom
We are looking for a nurturing, experienced infant lead teacher to join our Nido classroom team. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of infant development, safe sleep practices, and the patience and warmth required to care for our youngest learners.
What you'll do:
- Implement Experience Baby™ curriculum with fidelity and warmth
- Build responsive, trusting relationships with each infant and family
- Document daily activities, milestones, and communications via Brightwheel
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with co-teachers and the center director
What we're looking for:
- CDA credential or Early Childhood Education degree preferred
- Experience in licensed infant care setting
- Knowledge of VDOE infant/toddler standards and safe sleep guidelines
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills with families
🐣 Lead Toddler Teacher — VSU / VCU Classrooms
We're looking for an energetic, experienced toddler lead teacher who loves the 16–36 month age group — the language explosion, the big feelings, and the joy of watching tiny humans figure out the world. This role requires patience, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm for toddler development.
What you'll do:
- Implement Experience Toddler™ curriculum with creativity and consistency
- Support language development, independence, and toilet learning
- Communicate daily with families through Brightwheel
- Create a warm, predictable classroom environment where toddlers thrive
Requirements:
- CDA or ECE degree preferred; experience with toddlers required
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for this age group
📚 Lead Preschool Teacher — VT / William & Mary Classrooms
Our preschool classroom is where KALE's STE(AI)M™ vision comes to life at full power. We need a skilled, passionate lead teacher who can deliver kindergarten-readiness curriculum while keeping learning joyful, hands-on, and genuinely exciting for 3–5 year olds.
What you'll do:
- Deliver Experience Preschool™ and STEAM Stations™ curriculum
- Build literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills through intentional play
- Conduct developmental assessments and communicate progress to families
- Lead STE(AI)M™ enrichment activities with creativity and confidence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience teaching 3–5 year olds in a licensed setting
- Strong literacy and math instruction skills
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
🤝 Assistant Teacher — Multiple Classrooms
Great assistant teachers are the backbone of a great classroom. We're looking for warm, reliable, enthusiastic assistant teachers to support our lead teachers across all age groups. This is an excellent entry point for those pursuing a career in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; CDA or ECE coursework a plus
- Genuine love for children and early childhood education
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Must pass Virginia background check
🚁 Substitute Teacher — Flexible / On-Call
We maintain a roster of qualified substitutes who can step in when needed. Ideal for ECE students, retired educators, or those looking for flexible hours while exploring a career in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Experience with children in any capacity
- Flexible availability and reliable transportation
- Must pass Virginia background check
