Who Qualifies
Which military families are eligible?
Military child care fee assistance is generally available to eligible active duty, Guard, and Reserve service members whose children are not enrolled in an on-installation Child Development Center (CDC). KALE is an approved off-installation provider. The amount of assistance depends on your branch, rank, and income.
Active Duty — All Branches
Active duty service members from Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force may be eligible for fee assistance for off-installation child care through their branch’s program, most administered through Child Care Aware® of America.
National Guard & Reserve
Guard and Reserve members may be eligible for the National Guard and Reserve Child Care (NGRCC) program, also administered through Child Care Aware® of America. Eligibility is based on activation status and service requirements.
