Building confidence, one discovery at a time.
Two-year-olds are determined, curious, and full of opinions. Our Toddler classrooms channel that energy into purposeful learning — early literacy, independence, and big feelings management.
VCU & UR Classrooms
Named after Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond — setting the expectation for higher learning from the very start.
What Your Child Gets
Everything your child needs. Nothing they don't.
KALE's toddler care program is built around the Whole-Child Development Framework — covering all 8 early learning domains through intentional, joyful, research-backed teaching every single day.
Early Literacy Focus
Books, rhymes, and language games every day build vocabulary, phonological awareness, and a love of reading that carries children into preschool ready.
Toilet-Learning Support
We work as a team with families to support toilet learning at each child's own pace — consistent between home and school.
Building Independence
Putting on shoes, washing hands, helping set up snack — toddlers do more than you think, and we support every small step.
Structured Play Time
Purposeful center time — blocks, dramatic play, art, and puzzles — builds cognitive skills, creativity, and peer interaction.
Music & Movement
Daily music, movement, and dance time builds body awareness, listening skills, rhythm, and joy.
Intro to STE(AI)M™
Simple science experiments, cause-and-effect activities, and age-appropriate technology exposure begin laying the STE(AI)M™ foundation at age 2.
A Day in the Life
Structure that supports learning.
Predictable routines give children a sense of safety and belonging — the foundation for all learning. Here's what a typical day looks like.
Toddlers thrive with structure and predictability. Consistent routine helps children feel safe, which frees them up to learn and grow.
