How do I access the KALE enrollment form on Brightwheel? +

Click any "Enroll Now" button on this page. It will take you directly to KALE's enrollment form on Brightwheel. You'll create a free Brightwheel account (or sign in if you already have one) and complete the enrollment form online. No paper, no PDFs to print, no email attachments.

What is Brightwheel and why does KALE use it? +

Brightwheel is the #1 software platform for early childhood education centers. KALE uses Brightwheel for enrollment, billing, daily family communication, developmental milestone tracking, and classroom management. It keeps everything in one place and gives families real-time visibility into their child's day — photos, activities, meals, sleep, and messages from teachers — all from a free app on your phone.

What immunization records does my child need? +

Virginia requires a completed Certificate of Immunization (Form 121) from your child's physician. This must be on file before your child's first day. You can download the form from the Virginia Department of Health website or obtain it from your child's pediatrician. Upload it directly through Brightwheel during enrollment.

How long does enrollment take? +

The online Brightwheel enrollment form takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once submitted, KALE reviews your application and sends a tuition agreement within 1 to 2 business days. Total time from form submission to confirmed start date is typically 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how quickly documents are received and whether subsidy processing is involved.

Do I need to tour before I enroll? +

We strongly recommend touring first. It helps you see the classrooms, meet the team, confirm KALE is the right fit — and ensures there's a seat available in your child's program. Tours are free and take about 30 minutes. Schedule your tour here →

I use Virginia CCSP subsidy. How does that work with enrollment? +

Start your CCSP application with Chesterfield County DSS at (804) 748-4800 as soon as possible — it takes 2 to 4 weeks to process. You can enroll on Brightwheel while your subsidy is being processed. Reference KALE's CCSP Vendor ID: 511075420. Visit our subsidy page for a step-by-step guide.
